Spring Awakening:

Spring Awakening:

With spring comes a fresh sense of possibility—the world shakes off its winter slumber, stretching into longer days and brighter skies. It’s the perfect time to breathe new life into our routines and invite change, no matter how small.

We all fall into repetitive patterns, habits that may have once served us but now simply exist out of familiarity. The beauty of this season is that it reminds us that we can begin again.

For me, a great book is my escape. I disappear into a world of words, losing myself in someone else’s story. There’s a magic in finding a secretive half hour to be transported somewhere else, even on the busiest days.

I also love to walk. Some evenings, after a long day, the last thing I feel like doing is lacing up my boots and stepping out into the cold. But I’ve never regretted a walk once I’m out there. The crisp air, the quiet hum of the traffic, and the space to clear my mind—it’s a simple act with immense rewards.

And then, of course, there’s food. Since childhood, I’ve felt a deep excitement around it—not just eating but the whole process. I love selecting a menu, shopping for ingredients, and then cooking in my kitchen with the radio on, wholly immersed in the moment. My daughter shares this passion, and we often challenge each other to cook-offs. Our last one was Burgers. Nothing fancy, just the challenge of making the most delicious, mouthwatering burger from scratch. For me, the joy isn’t just in the cooking—it’s in finding time to share the food, even something as simple as a burger.

If you’ve ever wanted to try something new or shake up your routine, let this be your time to go for it. It doesn’t have to be significant. One small change—a good book, a new hobby, a cooking challenge with a friend, or even just a short walk at the end of the day—can make a huge impact on your well-being.

Spring is a time of renewal. See where your journey takes you.
