Leap of Faith

Leap of Faith

There comes a time in life when you must take a deep breath and step into the unknown. You’ve put in the hard work, the training, and yes, even the procrastination. You’ve poured in the blood, sweat, and tears. But the most challenging part isn’t the effort—it’s putting yourself out there. To be seen. To be judged. To take the risk.

Every journey and experience is personal and unique. There is no single right or wrong way—only different paths leading to various destinations.

Last year, I was fortunate enough to take time out to travel with my family. While making sandwiches in our campervan one afternoon, my husband, Andy, returned with two wonderful Australians, Chris and Wander. They joined us for a chat, and before long, we found ourselves deep in conversation about life, choices, and why we had chosen to travel.

When I shared my dream of launching my mindfulness business, Tenacious, Chris took my hand and said, “So that’s why you came to Australia. It was to meet us. For us to tell you to take that leap of faith, to believe in yourself. When you get home, if you ever feel afraid or doubt yourself, remember why you came to Australia. It was for this moment, right here, right now, to talk to us.”

Shortly after, we said our goodbyes. We didn’t exchange numbers, nor did we promise to meet again. But at that moment, as we pulled away, I realised Chris and Wander would always be with me.

Whenever fear creeps in, when doubt whispers that I’m not good enough, or when I need a gentle push, I think of them. I remember why I went to Australia—not just for an adventure but for the people, the lessons, and the reminders to be the best version of myself.

And so, today, I am taking a leap of faith. I am launching Tenacious, a mindfulness business dedicated to helping others navigate stress, anxiety, and life’s challenges with resilience.

If anyone in Cairns, Eastern Australia, knows Chris and Wander, please pass on my eternal gratitude and phone number.

Here’s to leaps of faith. Here’s to believing in ourselves.
